Malowia is a warehouse that distributes natural cosmetic and care products, based on high quality raw materials from various regions of the world. It is this fact that distinguishes the brand from the competition; more than anything they have a partnership approach with its customers. Malowia provides support concerning know-how about building and developing the store, educates and supplies marketing materials alongside assisting with the offer selection in each store.
Our task was to design a brand based on a brand name given to us by the customer – Malowia is a polonization, developed based on the words „my love”, relating to passion. We knew that because of the wide assortment of various – and sometimes quite motley – labels of cosmetic packaging – we had to bank on branding. We strived for branding that wouldn’t overwhelm the customer but at the same time projects the personality of the brand and doesn’t leave it stuck at the background of the product range. First and foremost, Malowia is meant to be a company offering, all what is natural in a modern form, and via a modern model.
This company icon is an illustrative take on our response to the brand name, combining the symbol of the heart (passion, commitment) with a floral motif. The inspiration for us here were leaves, namely from the ginkgo tree and the Norwegian maple. The insignia style is very simple and doesn’t overwhelm the packaging design, yet at the same time strengthens its message. We have also prepared additional versions (framed) for special applications.
We opted for a combination of nature with something which is often associated with nature in design, that being eco cardboard and paper. Then, we added into the mix saturated colors and a simple design. The logo is supplemented with a simple typography, animated icons and a template.
Our aim was to present on one hand, the benefits of cooperation with the Malowia warehouse and on the other a brief presentation of the product range. We focused on consolidating the project branding, the major elements being: displaying company’s colour across the entire screen, infographics intelligently matching icon style and simple, nicely structured texts, shortening the distance between the warehouse and the potential partner.
