Okazjum is a website and mobile application which presents the current best offers of several retail chains, alongside appropriate supporting information - including location, opening hours, ratings and detailed opinions.
In 2014, we began working on the rebranding of Okazjum. Its aim was to refresh the company image – fitting it in with the design of our applications and the renewed website livery. In 2015, the Interia.pl group purchased the Okazjum start-up.
The projected changes had only a small range – at the time of cooperation, the portal was the biggest service collating offers of the largest retail stores, and what comes with this was a brand recognizable among customers. We left the logo typographical in style, but we added to the small signet suspended at the end of the lettering, which further emphasizes the signature appearing on the domain page. We changed the typeface, removed the fill from the signet, left the contouring, so that „.pl” is much more explicit and lighter. We also changed the letter case – so that the name appears in lowercase lettering, exactly the same as in a web address.
An integral part of the portal, as well as the application’s heart, are the newsletters with the current offers of the particular retail chain. Graphically they are very rich and different from each other, so the first objective of the project was to create a discreet, clean design, whose only strong accent would be the intense, company specific, colors. Only using this design could the background function effectively for the offers and everything else that happens on the site – it doesn’t divert attention from the most important elements and is easy to read and easy to be received for all users. The application has been prepared for all operating systems.
